The German company reflecta was founded in 1967 and began with the production of photo accessories and projection lamps. A good 15 years after being founded, they expanded their product line to include slide projectors and accessories.
Since 1998, reflecta has produced excellent quality film and slide scanners. reflecta is still an active actor in the scanner market today, offering up-to-date devices that range from small-image slide scanners to medium format scanners.
The company headquarters shifted over the decades from Nuremberg to Rottenburg on the Neckar and eventually situating in its present day headquarters in Eutlingen, also home to its affiliate company BRAUN photo technology Ltd.

Cyberview is a clearly arranged scan software, but it leaves desires regarding image quality. The correction tools are not really useful. […] In terms of quality, scans made with SilverFast from LaserSoft Imaging are much better. This software is already bundled with a lot of scanners.
Unfortunately, the included scan software Cyberview shows a number of shortcomings regarding image processing and speed. Though image quality is quite neat, except for the tonal range in dark and light areas, you can get a lot more using SilverFast.
