I just updated and my SilverFast does not start anymore.

SymptomSymptom:
I get an error telling me, SilverFast could not be started.

SolutionSolution:
In case you have installed SilverFast for more than one scanner make sure that the latest updates are installed for all versions.
 
SilverFast has core components and modules for individual scanner. Older modules will not be able to use newer core components. Therefor all installed modules require the latest release.
 
In some cases the settings might not be updated correctly. 
(e.g. when they were locked during the update)
In such a case you can reset SilverFast through the welcome screen's service Dialog.
 
In case these steps do not help try reinstalling SilverFast.
