The Pipette tool allows you to select the darkest (black point/shadows) and brightest (white point/highlights) locations in your image.
You can also use it to remove color casts from your images.
The
White Point pipette.
It is used to tell SilverFast where in the image the brightest point in the image should be.
It will be set as the maximum value and no brighter areas will exist in the final image.
The
Black Point pipette.
It tells SilverFast where the darkest point in the image should be.
It will set the minimum value and no darker areas will exist in the final image.
The
Neutral Point pipette.
It tells SilverFast which area should be a neutral gray.
This removes any color cast present in that area.
In SilverFast Ai Studio up to four points can be set to remove complex casts.

Using the single point pipette:
The
Reset Automatic will reset all changes to the Histogram and Gradation.
This will reset any changes you made using any of the Pipette tools.
