In case your SilverFast application does not start anymore please download the following tool to contact us. This has the advantage, that it will provide us with your SilverFast support files.

Support Tool for OS X / macOS

Please double-click the DMG to mount it. Execute the included SilverFast Support Tool.

Support Tool for Windows

Please double-click the ZIP archive and extract its content. Start the SilverFast Support Tool.
 
Wrong ProScan/CrystalScan/RPS 7200/DigitDia driver loaded.

SymptomSymptom:
The Reflecta/PIE/Braun scanner functions with CyberView but SilverFast does not find it. Other imaging devices have already been disconnected and can not cause conflicts.

ProblemProblem:
CyberView is installed and has an alternative driver. This driver cannot be used by SilverFast.

SolutionSolution:
Open the device manager.
(open the Windows Start menu -> right click on Computer -> select properties from the content menu -> The system information will open -> select "Device Manager" in the upper left corner)
In the device manager select "Imaging devices".
(your scanner should be the only device listed here.)
Right-click on your scanner and select "Update Driver Software".

Now select "Browse my computer for driver software".

Then "Let me pick from a list..."

Now you will get a list of available drivers. For 32 Bit Versions select the driver which has "LSI" in it's name (e.g. "Single/Multiple Frame Film Scanner LSI").
For newer 64bit Versions a Reflecta driver is in use.
It is called the same as the CyberView driver (no LSI at the end)

Select the newer driver in the list.

Click on "Next" and select "Install this driver software anyway".

Now the scanner is correctly installed.
