	On Windows 64 bit environments it's necessary to use the 64 bit driver provided by Plustek in combination with the 64 bit variant of SilverFast 8. Efforts to utilize the scanner with the 32 bit driver and 32 bit version of SilverFast (e.g. with the intention to work from out of Photoshop Elements) on an x64 Windows won't succeed.
